Now that we have finally got the go ahead to open, and with the hope that this has been the last time we will ever have to hear the dreaded word LOCKDOWN, I think that taking time to reflect on the last year is a good opportunity to evaluate and reassess how we go forward as a business.
As many of our clients are aware we are a husband and wife run business, with myself (Gillian) taking the main role as clinic manager and providing the majority of all our treatments, with my husband Liam specialising solely in tattoo removal. Being a relatively small business opening before a worldwide pandemic hit was challenging to say the least, due to the nature of our clinic and the treatments we provide we have been closed for the majority of the last year, during which there were many times when we questioned if we could even reopen again. The vague and often slow response from government in providing dates and guidance haven’t helped.
Like so many small businesses there are often financial and family constraints that contribute to the day to day running of a business. Despite this, the one thing we kept saying to ourselves was that we love doing what we do, we both love seeing the results from tattoo removals and comparing before and after pictures and to truly appreciate how well our treatments have impacted on our clients being able to finally get rid of unwanted ink. Also receiving messages from clients who are amazed from hair removal treatments no more ingrown hairs, painful waxing or razor rashes, really gives us a sense of achievement that really has given us a push in the right direction and not give up.
“Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated and passionate about what they do”
Fortunately, during the pandemic this passion for what we do never changed and that was the driving force behind our aim to continue to grow and develop our business, whilst consistently providing our wonderful clients old and new, accessible high-quality treatments in a safe and effective manner.
We are so grateful to all our clients who have supported us over the last year we really appreciate it, over the coming months as we come fully out of lockdown and all our lives can get back to some semblance of normality, it is our plan to continue to grow and progress as a business, we have so many plans and goals we hope to achieve we cannot wait to share these with you.
With reopening only days away we are excited about getting back to the clinic and starting those treatments again. We hope to see you all very soon.
